Over the past month the two secondary schools in Congleton, Eaton Bank Academy and Congleton High School have taken part in a series of rugby fixtures against each other from Year 7 through to Year 11. Over 120 pupils have taken part in the four fixtures with a mix of club players and others taking part in their first ever rugby match.

The results of the four fixtures were as follows :-

Eaton Bank 6 Congleton High 3

Year 8

Eaton Bank 12 Congleton High 0

Year 7

Eaton Bank 13 Congleton High 5

This means that Eaton Bank have taken a 4 - nil lead in the race for the Congleton Rugby Cup.

Round 2 will be taking place in the new Year.
