Would you rather not see the Club go out of existence for the sake of a few community-minded folk getting together to help out?

Do you fancy yourself with numbers (perhaps you were once good at adding up when playing darts?)

Do you have a bit of spare time to offer? (not too much – honest. In fact, as little or as much as you feel comfortable with)

Do you own a grey suit (male or female), think accountants are sexy and like working in an office?

If the answer to one or more of those questions is YES (OK – ignore the last one. That’s just silly), then you could be the person we’re looking for. The Finance and Administration Team of Congleton Rugby Union Football Club needs YOU.

We have a number of opportunities that we are looking to fill with helpful, friendly volunteers who want to become part of our team. There really is something for everyone…

Finance Committee

• Representation: We need at least one person from each section of the club, i.e.:
• First Team
• Second Team
• Vets
• Minis and Juniors
• Facilities
• The general membership
• The committee would normally meet once a month for an hour or so
• Primary task is to set the membership fees for a forthcoming season and to guide the Board of Trustees in all aspect of the club’s finances

Sponsorship

• Someone who can take a lead or helping out with canvassing local companies in order to secure sponsorship for various activities within the club (e.g. 1st Team Kit, 2nd Team kit, match balls, special sporting and social events).

Legal

• Someone who works in the legal, finance or insurance industries to assist in the understanding of any legal aspects, liability and club insurance etc
• Advise the Board of Trustees on all such matters
• Advise on accounts preparation etc

Information technology

• Office 365 knowledge
• General IT
• Manage the club’s internet / Wi-Fi

Comms Manager

• Updating the club’s website on a regular basis to keep it up to date
• Uploading content from the various sections, such as match reports, team selection, upcoming fixtures
• Co-ordination between website and other social media outlets
• Social Media management – posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc
• Upcoming fixtures
• Club opening hours
• Newsworthy stories
• Sponsorship cross-overs / supporting local businesses

Advertising

• To raise the profile of the club in and around Congleton, such as match reports in the Chronicle
• Promotion of the M&J section to assist in recruitment

Utilities

• Someone to read the electric and gas meters every month
• Advise the Treasurer on any cost saving initiatives

The 200 Club (Lottery type fundraising Club)

• Running the club
• Promotion to get new members
• Organising the prize draws
• Logging payments and prizes
• Reporting activity to the Treasurer
